cleaning up gold

I've been meaning to learn this tune for years, and I finally got around to it, another great fiddle rag in the key of C. I am three finger picking my semi-fretless 1928 Tubaphone in double C tuning (gCGCD).

This is a repost of a video I first posted a year ago. This is a new old-time tune by Peter Lippincott, a fiddler and potter from Missouri, and in the original video post I spelled his name wrong, which was just pointed out to me. Now, I believe I got it right! Anyway, the tune has that nice mixolydian flatted seventh that creeps in, especially in the B part. Ed is playing clawhammer style on his OME Columbine, in double C tuning capoed on the 2nd fret. I am three finger picking my Ode Model 42 in open D tuning.
